Our History

Easycraft products have been manufactured since 1986, when Guido Bloch the owner of the company recognised a demand for an alternative to timber planks used for renovating houses built in Brisbane between 1870 and 1920. Renovators wanted to keep an authentic look but the cost of installation, knotholes, splits and dust penetration through cracks, were all recognised as shortcomings of timber planks. Out of this demand came easybeaded and easyvj boards manufactured from Medium Density Fibreboard. These boards are copies of the timber planks used in South East Queensland and many other parts of Australia from 1870 to 1920.

Other profiles and substrates have been added to the range as demand and volumes have grown to levels that sustain the product as part of the standard offer.

In 1999, Easycraft began undercoating all products with a specially developed undercoat, giving all their products a smoother finer finish that requires minimal preparation before painting.
